Always on - where sun and wind are sometimes
A geothermal plant produces 75–88% of the time, around the clock; wind under 30%, solar under 15%. No batteries, no backup, no weather risk. It is also the most land-efficient renewable —and it lasts: Paris has heated homes from onexdeep aquifer for 40+ years; Larderello has produced power for over a century.

Deep beats shallow
Shallow geothermal - heat-pump loops in the first few hundred metres - warms one building at a time. Deep hydrothermal taps aquifers at 1,500 - 3,000 m, where water is 60 - 200°C: district heating, greenhouses, industry - and above ~110°C, electricity. One doublet can serve thousands of homes. A different class of asset.

Aquifers beat fractured rock

Deep hydrothermal (our focus):
Nature already built the reservoir. No stimulation. Reinjection into a naturally recharging aquifer - Paris doublets from the early 1980s still run today.
Engineered geothermal (EGS):
Must fracture hot dry rock. A promising frontier - but still proving down costs, and stimulation triggered damaging earthquakes in Basel (2006) and Pohang (2017).

Resource risk is the barrier that has held deep geothermal back - and the problem WFS exists to solve. We don't drill and hope. We look deep first.
One survey, two assets

The same campaign that locates your deep rechargeable water also reveals its temperature, flow and recharge. Cold, it is drinking and irrigation water. Hot, it is district heating and power. Either way, it refills itself. Water security and energy security from a single act of looking deep - that is the Waterfinders difference.
